A-Z of Partners

SkillsWork is a new project from region-wide adult training company Learning Links Europe.

The project is designed to encourage participants to move into employment from benefits, especially inactive benefits. In particular, we aim to help lone parents, the over fifties and incapacity claimants.

By dividing clients into two categories, candidates who are ready for employment and participants who are on their way to becoming candidates, we can tailor our programme to suit individual needs.

SkillsWork offers a structured approach to clients' needs which includes a range of activities designed to help you back into employment.

Information, Advice and Guidance
Customers can have one to one talks with an IAG advisor. Providing information about the range of learning and work opportunities available, the IAG advisor can help customers make decisions about their career or offer advice on routes to further learning.

Skills For Life
Learning Links Europe has more then 10 years experience in Skills for Life training. Through the company's learndirect contract, customers can improve their literacy and/or numeracy and work towards nationally recognised tests.

IT Training
Information technology is an essential part of the world toady, yet for those of us who are new to computers, they can be daunting. Our learn direct courses start at the beginning, with courses for absolute novices as well as higher-level courses for the more experienced. Customers can work towards qualifications such as ECDL and CLAIT.

Personal Effectiveness
Our personal effectiveness course will help customers work out what they want out of life and how you're going to get it.

Our employability courses help customers prepare for the world of work and help them get the job they want.

All of our courses run in school friendly hours, lunch is provided and travel expenses are reimbursed.
