We offer first stage joinery skills employability for those experiencing problems of homelessness and /or substance abuse. Following taster sessions we train homeless and excluded adults (18 years and over) to consider a career in the construction industry. At our joinery workshop in Newcastle and in the construction school at Newcastle College, trainees are guided through joinery and employability skills to attain industry recognised awards that can lead on to further training and job opportunities.
The course covers employability skills and basic joinery skills resulting in a City & Guilds and NOCN qualification respectively. The weekly commitment means it won\'t affect any benefit payments.
